when you get what you want or close to what you want

When you achieve:

- absolutely everything you ever wanted out of the deal

- at a lower cost than you imagined possible

- plus a whole bunch of other useful stuff you weren't expecting

- and the other party is desperate to do business with you again because they have done so well out of the negotiation

The more complex the deal, the easier this is to achieve.  (It's very hard to do if you're buying a cup of tea.)

It is known fact that everyone tries to negotiate things to their favor. Well negotiations should be directed towards win win situations. One should neither be too authoritative nor too submissive, u should know where to the draw the line. Any negotiation which provides a constructive result to all the parties involved can be termed as successful.

Hi Dearest,

What a smart question indeed; N S is a status where the heart and the mind intersect at having overwhelmed your counterpart.
