Is it possible to do the miter joint in Flange to Pipe joint (Maximum angle will be 5 deg)?

ASME B31.3, chapter 2, paragraph 306.3 states even under sever conditions miter angle less than 22.5 degree is permissible(It covers 5 degree angle).

Please note : in case that the flange is to be connected to a counter flange (to an equipment or another flange),miter joint shall not be pre fabrecated, rather, providing miter joint when it is connected to the counter flange before.
