Considering the progress of dealing with data nowadays, will software development hold a priority in next decade for uplifting business?

In our fast growing industry yes large scale data's are increasing rapidly as well sa the demand for more updted softwares who could minimize the workloads, tasks and time used per process or transaction, it might be the lastest trend and the demand is really high but not every company or businesses uses all those latest technologies and softwares in the daily transactions there are just small businesses who still uses manual computations and data storing for their files because its also a factor to consider buying a software to be used. It could be true that software development could uplift businesses but i dont think it would be a a priority even after 10 years.
