Appraisal meeting should be only either fore a hike in salary or apprieciation in the performance. The boss can either convey his negetive messages through appecialtion as well. it or in-direct or direct personal message.

at the end of the day the salries cannot either decreases or negotiated. it is better to end up with him and start searching for something else.

Absolutely. In my view, Performance appraisal meeting is the best platform to summarize your acheivements, discuss your future scope of development and also to put accross the monetary aspect as it is a major motivational factor for most individuals including me.
