Performance of an organziation essentially relates to the performance of its employees. These are the few measuers I would recommend to improve employee performance:-
1. Ensure employee engagement is at its best. Communicate and align the organziation's goals and objectives with that of the employee's KRA and KPI for the year.
2. Put in place a Competency Matrix where roles are match with required competencies. Assess employees for their levels of comeptency required for the role and provide necessary training / coaching / mentoring to arrive at the requisite standards.
3. Put in place a robust Performance Management system (not an annual appraisal) which facilitates an ongoing appraisal of performance. Ensure adequate linkage between performance and rewards that motivate employees to perform their best.
4. Line managers should develop a proactive approach towards the performance of their employees and provide the necessary enivronment, resources etc to guarantee best performance.
5. Ensure the right selection of KPI's that can be measured and evaluated at the end of the appraisal period and steps can be implemented for improvements if any.
