Prior to heavy lifting, what is the most critical point concerned?

Prior heavy lifting operation ensure;

You carryout a full risk assessment which include but not limited to the following; 

1/ The machine is certified to lift and shift the item

2/ The machine can and will handle the weight of the item

3/ There is a free access to site

4/ The site is free of obstacles (overhead cables, towers, bridges etc..) which may prevent the lift  

5/ The receiving platform is able to take the weight 

6/ Banksman is a must.
