A typical campaign involves selection of right kind of keywords, structuring the campaign, selecting proper medium, writing proper adcopy, experimenting on ideas, getting the landing page correct, studying the conversion funnel, anticipating problems, experimenting with page design, studying behavioural patterns, exits reasons, retargeting previously visited customer, etc.
yes PPC and CPC is cost effective marketing channel as it requires less man power and low trainning requirement... and ofcourse less time consuming
