I am writing an article, I am also making a study. Can you please tell me whether you read the first or the last page of a book to judge it?

if you write the article in a scientific way then it is easy to tell. for example, if it contains an abstract in the begining. after reading the abstract, i can make out whether the article is related to me or is it interesting. i will stop reading it if it is not at all usefull to me

First and last page will give some idea about the article, but to know the article in a proper way reading all the pages is important.

Generally there are four main types of essays. The one that is arguably the least favorite (wrt students) is the persuasive. In this type, you focus more on convincing your audience of a certain viewpoint by taking a holistic approach to the problem. Discuss for and against viewpoints and conclude with strengthening your side of the argument. Here is a link on the other types of essays: https://www.time4writing.com/writing-resources/types-of-essays/ A google search on how to write a persuasive essay might also be helpful.

The ttile says it all - you are supposed to persuade readers in some idea which you believe to be correct. Usually, an essay puts out an issue and then looks at both sides. Persuasive tends to choose one side and prove it to be right
