How can we use advertising to share the product faster? and which way is better?

Advertising shared the brand values and product benefits to the consumer. From consumer profiling to their insights to finding gaps, an advertising campaign covers these aspects to effectively communicate the message. Advertising is basically a summary of company's or product's marketing strategy, while the campaign or advertising message is the manifestation for a simple consumer. Generally a mix of activities makes a good advertising campaign. These activities ideally cover all consumer touch points. Hence they vary from product to product. For example, to advertise a shampoo a campaign should utilize mass media, ground and digital activations and consumer promotions. In case of this shampoo being a medicated one the campaign should focus on direct marketing tools like doctor endorsements, interactive activations and some digital aspects communicating the details. In short there is no single secret recipe for success. A decision is to be based on product, its stage in life cycle, market dynamics and the economic condition of the target market.

Different advertising methods are best used to achieve different goals.

Mass media (TV, print, radio) will be better for building awareness, but may not be the best at converting awareness into sales.  Additionally, it is more difficult to finely target your mass advertising to particular customers -- so, it creates waste when a product is targeted to a niche or specific segment.

You can use digital tactics such as SEO/SEM to provide specific promotional to particular target customers.  These techniques will benefit if customers have some level of awareness and consideration.

If you need to induce 'trial' usage, you can provide a free sample or period of use in a digital offer.

Conceptually the sequence chain in the consumer choice of any product/service is :

* Creating awareness through advertising in appropriate channel

* Induce consumer trial through Promotions / Offers at Point of sale/consumption

* Cach attention at Point of Sale through merchandising / Sales Promoters

While mass emdia advertising reaches the maximum target Consumers but it entails huge costs & wastages & advertising is a sheer waste of money if the Product is not available at maimum Point of Sale

For a new Product drawing attention at Point of Sale through Sales Promoters & free samples maybe  better option for faster induced trial.
