Basically, CRM and ERP are both important for the business development and maintaining sales growth. However, each one has its way in managing sales. CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is focused on the customers as the name promotes; CRM is essential in keeping the customer loyal to the company by organize, automate, and synchronize sales, marketing and customer services.

On the other handERP focuses on reducing overheads and cutting costs. By making business processes more efficient, ERP reduces the amount of capital spent on those processes.

ERP is a sys related to all the business (Finance, logistics, HR, ...) but CRM is ralated only to customer side of business (Marketting, sales, services). There for altought CRM could be used independently but it is a module of ERP sys.

Basically, CRM gives an overall view of the customer and an organizations’ relationship with them. It synchronizes all the activities of the company, beginning from organizing the data received from the customers to streamlining the sales, marketing, and customer service activities which the company performs.

As highlighted earlier, CRM has a focused approach toward the customer related practices in an organization, whereas the ERP software is used to manage and organize the business, in general. Enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the business is the prime focus of any business venture, and an ERP software facilitates the same.

CRM is a function and ERP is its supporting module which facilitates the activities of CRM in a efficient and systematic manner. To choose an ERP one must go through the requirement of CRM and the industry it is going to be implemented . Once you have figured it out , it would be easy to choose for you to choose ERP and the second thing is that how you want the things to be upon integration of CRM to ERP , and will have to spend sometime and imagination to get it work just the way you want i to happen.
