1. First put them at ease and make them relaxed by speaking in a polite manner.

2.Review the incident and get full idea on what really happened.

3.Involving the employee in all levels of discussion to show that you care.

4.Coming up with a best possible solution at the end of discussions.

5.Taking steps to prevent such incidents from happening again and making it well known to the employee, that necessary steps have been taken.
