No, lying destroys your credibility with the customer.
just call back procurement or engineering department and ask for an explanation of the customer request.
chances are you already have technical closes that are compatable.
From my experience within sales i wouldn't lie on a customer sooner or later he will know the truth and the result you will loose him,but on the other hand you will gain his respect if you told him the truth
Of course not! A business is a long term investment which is why you must have a vision to look forward. Besides, as soo as you submit your project and disapoint the client, you will be facing a lot of issues and unecessary headaches. Not only that, but this customer will be talking bad about your services, your credebility and quality, which might loose you many potential new clients.
Cerainly not, long term customer relation can only be based on customer satisfaction. sooner or later they ll find out about the blunder and ultimately you ll lose them.
I won't lie, for an essential quality in building customer loyalty is trust. I might lie and sell that item. However i won't get repeat business nor referral. What i would do is point out other great benefits to the customer that would ensure he buys.
