What are the main talents that project managers should have?

I do believe that, the main talent that any project's manager should have is to be " A good Manager", including well planning, well organizing, well following up and well controlling.

Communications is the main talents project manager should have, they spend many hours in mentor , they should be clear in their communication skills.

Technical skills, should know how to deal with project, clients, their sub-ordinates with technical points, without this project cant be completed. Must have expertise in his area.

Leadership will be there, if you can lead then, you can deliver them.

Team Mangemant, an effective team management should be their to coordinate their sub-ordinates, delivering tasks, solving problems,setting goals.

Neogation, Know how to negotiate well so that all parties are satisfied is a key skill for the successful project manager.

Personal and Risk management.

I like to use a competency model.  Senior Project Managers, like other Senior Leaders, needs to be competent in three areas

-Self management

- Leading others

-Leading the Business 

Critical competencies for each category/cluster should include:

Selef management, being self aware and have a good self understanding and positive self image

-Good judgement and decision making

-Leadership versatility

Project manager is a manager doing all managerial duties,planning,controlling and taking decision,But project manager is different from Just the word manager in the sence ,Project manager must create a work plan for a specipic project,The following are some of the talents project manger must have.
