First of all would like to study about the problem area of the organization where changes required then will make the plan accordingly.

1) First of all i will thank full for all the team member for selecting/trusting me.2) working atmosphere and friendly environment will be created to run organization very smoothly.3) Each department as to work with their frame limit and also can share ideas if necessary.:)
There are so many experienced persons in board. May be they know something better than me. So I respect their ideas. There is much difference between changing and updating. Where changing results good outcome with bad. And whereas updating results more productivity and innovative thoughts. So first I will go for updating results and after that If I feel that change is inevitable than first of all I understand the company goals and environment, if there is any changes needed than I will change by taking suggestions from the respected experienced person for effective results. Apart from that if no changes needed than I will give my best to the company as a board member....
So it's hard to tell in advance what I would do. I think I need to know a little better with the whole thing and pick up all the necessary information and data. Then I could make the right decisions in order to ultimately achieve success and progress.

For me i would focus on the following.
1- Market survey to understand how the consumer sees us and our position with competitors then update the strategy plan according to that and the organization mission statment.
2- Speak with Employees, check their history and competencies and hear what they think and should be done to be better.
3- Try to Increase the Market share and monitor the marketing process.
4- Reduce the cash flow if possible.
5- I will see the possibility to do vertical or horizontal integration.
If I would come to board I would concentrate on the following areas:
1. Customer satisfaction.
2. Efficient operations and reduced costs.
3. Employees' satisfaction.
I wouldn't know until I map the current value stream and understand what need to be changed to improve the processes. But depending on the analysis it could be changes to the processes, people and resaurces that needs improving outputs.
All above will be based on what your goals and objectives are..

First Build TRST. Then apply changes where needed to achieve company goals.
I will do the following:
1-Understand the rules/policies.
2-Identify the weakness and strength points.
3-I will set a priorities plan.
4-Finally I'll close the weakness points and will develope the strength points according to the priorities plan.
