Will social media platforms act officially as Customer Support in the future?

Will Facebook be the official platform to order your favorite junk food from? Will Google Hangout be used to take a tour around a car showroom? Will Twitter be used to book a table at your favorite restaurant? Will users pay to watch a concert LIVE on YouTube if tickets are sold out? Enlighten me! :)

Social media for business is a marketing channel.
Social media platforms will evolve as promotional channels and not solely for customer support.
So no, I don't think that social media platforms will act as mere customer support in the future.

Let's first declare than currently some Brands already use social media as part of their Customer Support.
Some of your suggested scenarios can apply, and social media platforms will do grow to play several roles - however this doesn't necessarily mean that they will play as the official/exclusive tool for Customer Support.

will they? i think we should really study the life cycle stages of each social media platform?we should really find out where we really are?are we still in the growth stages, are we in the maturity, are we in the decline phase??any one who is willing to invest in social media marketing should keep any eye on the life cycle.

social media platform appeared very rapidly and might dissappear rapidly,we can use them but keep a close eye to new comers and new inventions in this field.

to better answer this question i see that we shouldn't think too much, just use them for now and keep an eye for new inventions or innovations.

Yes, the above mentioned scenarios are very much likely to happen, one can already see brands having their Facebook page and running various campaigns to keep the customers engaged at various levels.
Some brands even reach out for grievance resolution.
But at the same time the population not actively involved in social media platforms cannot be ignored and the traditional channels are to be utilized as well.
The ultimate goal shall be to reach as many customers as possible using or exploring the channels leading to them.

Honestly i really hope not.
This would be extremely boring.
Seeing a concert "live" online because tickets aren't available is just NOT a concert.
This would completely kill social interaction which already is almost vanished.
It's so sad to see a bunch of people at a coffee shop, sitting together, with each one stuck on his smartphone.
I believe that Humans will be replaced by robots and AI, but thankfully I won't be of this world anymore to see and cry about it.
