  • Agile is a development methodology based on iterative and incremental approach.

  • Scrum is one of the implementations of agile methodology. In which incremental builds are delivered to the customer in every two to three weeks' time.

Agile is a set of methodologies and frameworks - DSDM Atern, XP, Scrum, Kanban, Crystal...

I would say that above 90% of Agile projects are led with Scrum.

Scrum can be use in other domains than only software and it is why it makes so much interest in my view which is not purely software.

The Scrum guide gives examples of uses but from memory hardware, R&D, Marketing, product development.

I would say when you are in a complex domain (Cynefin framework) Scrum and its empiricism is probably the right approach for delivering value (increment) and improving the quality (iterative).
