Argumentative is the atttitude which is you disagreed with the other opinion and against with the idea and you firm with your idea and want the other agree with your opninion

Assertive is you did in the polite manner and you agreed with the other opinion you proved it with your facts and made the other agree with your opinion

Being assertive is getting your wants fulfilled by other person by stating that he is correct.
