Job lovers will show/tell you your previoius assignment references and salary lover will talk about the benefits that are attached with the salary.
It is not something that is easily conducted as most of us work for money or experience or both. As Steven said we might love our job but with the load of it and our personal life the thing that make us hold on is the money. if the prospective candidate is excited and wants to add to the company, may be his experience, his personality.. These might be ways to show you that this candidate likes this role or vacancy and will be productive or not.
it is difficult to know who love the job.
ask smart questions and listen.
listening is key.
you will know.
the more they talk and you listen they will provide clear clues
It is impossible to love the job before you have done it :-( I love my work, in fact to me it is not work, it is a relaxing hobby but sometimes I hate the job and the only thing that keeps me there is the money.
You can love the job but hate the work or or hate the job and love the work.
If I love the job and love the work, I would stay where I am and you wouldn't be asking me this question.
Quite the paradox don't you think :-)
Its simple who will elaborately ask about his roles and responsibilites and will talk more about his achievements in job will be spongebob and a squidward will be interested to know when salary gets credited, will he /she will get salary as per market standards, which bank account, what is every year hike, what extra benefits monetary or non monetary given like some get food coupons sodexo, some people get phone bills paid, some get medical policies ( i m talking about small companies in India which dont have medical policies, pf also at HR policy level)
such squidwards jump jobs for few bucks every year.
