Explain why total revenue - total cost must be greater than or equal to zero while business is being run ?

Total revenue is the total sales generated by the organisation after selling goods or services, and this doesn't include cost beared by the organisation for selling the goods and service it might the cost like marketing cost or employment cost etc.

And for a company to be profitable and last in a long run the total revenue should be atleast 0 or higher.
