Have a performance matrix in place before the year starts or if you have joined or started in between the year have it in place immediately so everyone know where they stand on a month to month basis MTD and YTD. In the end of the year and keep approx20 points to yourself so you can upgrade the individuals who took initiatives and downgrade the ones who created trouble

50% Weightage to be given based upon economic conditions. A person as a human being has to be adequately paid so as to enable him to live a life of comfort and dignity.

 

25% Weightage to be given on Personality and Behavorial aspects of the individual.

 

25% Weightage to be given on actual performance in measurable terms.
