 i think that the best thing is to stay in what you are doing even if it is not so motivating 

and to work on your goal in parallel

right down your goals and read them daily when you wake up and measure progress weekley.

Thank you this a good question. I suggest that one "shift gears" assess the situation. Determine what you are doing incorrectly and focus on a different course of actions that will help you achieve your goals.

Unrealistic goals will always make you restless. The strategy for achieving your goals in life I feel we have to first do a reality check Are we clear about our goals?

In order to prepare your goals one should adopt this strategy:

Specific – target a specific area for improvement.

Measurable – quantify or at least suggest an indicator of progress.

Assignable – specify who will do it.

Realistic – state what results can realistically be achieved, given available resources.

Time-related – specify when the result(s) can be achieved.

Evaluate- See the actual results with the desired results and take corrective action.

Re-evaluate- After corrective action

Make small goals so that you achieve your long term objective
