What the leaders must have in their leadership activity with their team?

The role of a leader is diverse. It is important for a leader to have the essential command and control skills associated with management. For a person to succeed as a leader they would need to

• be able to build networks that influence the outcomes of decisions
• use power in a way the benefits all parties involved
• develops the people that they work with to improve and get better
• be open and approachable to everyone especially the people he leads
• makes the big decisions that guide strategy and the direction the organisation takes
• is fair in the way they deal with people and problems demonstrating a high level of emotional awareness
