I believe for fresh graduates they should be focused in their job hunting, what you need to do?
Keep your ideas focused to the targeted job that you are hunting and not just applying to any open vacancy because at the end of the day you have figure the skills and knowledge required for this job in order to increase it and highlight it in in your resume.
Avoid all in one resumes, don't try to figure your resume as if you can be selected for various job, keep your career objective highlighted and not generalised, this will help the recruited to identify your potentials and how far you can fit your self to this targetd job.
Good luck!
Fresh graduates should join IT related forum or user group if in the case their field of study is in IT or Computers. As an example, here in the Philippines most students graduate with either Java or .Net background so our User Group conduct on a by invite basis to every school/university a2 or3 days seminar/trainings of using Open Source Technologies as well.
This way, when they are already in the field the students is prepared by not only using a particular set of skills or technology but rather a different set which is very essential if they are in the field of constantly evolving subject, IT.
Fresh graduates can easily find a job thorugh job fares. Also, portals like Bayt is a very good chance for them to land a perfect beginning
