You can use WDS (wireless distribution system) feature to build a wireless bridge. If WDS feature is unavailable (which is rare, if you have a new set of APs), you can set it manually, set one AP in Bridge Mode and the other one as client / repeater mode.
In point-to-point bridge mode, the DG834N modem router communicates as an access point with another bridge-mode wireless station. As a bridge, wireless client associations are disabled—only wired clients can be connected. You must enter the MAC address of the other bridge-mode wireless station in the field provided. Use wireless security to protect this communication.
Configure the other access point (AP2) on LAN Segment2 in point-to-point bridge mode.
The DG834N modem router must have AP2’s MAC address in its Remote MAC Address field, and AP.
You must have the DG834N’s MAC address in its Remote MAC Addressfield.
Configure both APs and verify that both APs are using he same SSID, channel, authentication mode, if any, and security settings if security is in use.
Disable the DHCP server on AP2. AP1 will then be the DHCP server.
Verify connectivity across LAN Segment1 and LAN Segment2.
When wireless bridge devices work in pairs called point to point.
When there are simultaneous bridges using one central device called point to multipoint.
For Point to Point configuration, after entering and checking MAC address please follow following procedure for point-to-point bridge configuration as reference
1. Configure Access Point1 on LAN segment1 in Point-to-Point Bridge mode
2. Configure Access Point2 on LAN segment2 in Point-to-Point Bridge mode
Configure and verify the following for both access points:
I. Verify the LAN network configuration of the access points. Both must be configured to operate in the same LAN network address range as the LAN devices
3. Verify connectivity.
Key parameter one must remeber here, default setting in bridge is ROOT mode, in order to connect two APs configured as Bridge, one of the AP should me made as non-root bridge, otherwise no connectivity will be made
Thank you for this question it is really a good one, but it is a little bit broad, because there are alot of wireless brands and each of them has different setup and instruction. but here is a link that might help and has pretty good instructions.
