I guess both have crucial role in someone career as if someone who has joined as Executive with a decent salary will jump to or get appraisals and will reach a better level in three years or4 years and if he is not grown in position then it will surely be backdrop in career because someone with same age and experienced would be Asst Manager or Manager depending on performance with same or better salary so I think both matters surely

It is important that both are adequate to my contribution relative to the organization structure. Conceptually, any empolyee in any position will perform poorly if he/she perceives that he/she is unfairly compensated.

On the other hand, in companies with multinational staff, variances in compensations in normal. It is only required to explain equality in such situations.
