he is the Boss and he has to lead and the team member follow him, some times the team members think that the Boss is wrong but he is not, and some times he is already wrong and its his responsability, but you have to inform him in decent way
I would hope that the boss would appreciate me presenting the evidence to just say that He/She may be wrong, though I wouldn't want to be in their faces about it. It depends on the situation. I will keep quiet till when the pressure is less I can now explain. The boss is not always right so I must to make him/her understand so that such conflict will not arise.
I'll make sure I get all the facts and present it to him/her and sometimes if they see you correct them, they'll think twice about letting you go because a boss doesn't always want a yes person, someone must always be there to tell him no sometimes.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE YOU OWN DUCKS IN A ROW BEFORE YOU START LOOKING FOR FAULT WITH YOU BOSS OR OTHERS THAT YOU WORK WITH. REMEMBER THAT WE LEARN FROM MAKING MISTAKES SO TO MAKE A MISTAKE IS NOT A CRIME AND NOBODY IN THIE WORLD IS PERFECT!.
So many questions about Boss being wrong, I suppose it indicates some sort of a trend or obsession. Anyhow, the answer lies in the art of communications skill. there is always a polite way of saying the unwanted things.
ONLY TWO RULES
1 BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT
2. IF BOSS IS WRONG, Refer to1
Personally speaking, I flow with wind for the time when I see no room for argument, later I suggests the alternative way for the topic. If I see the boss still want his way and do not like to change the decision; then I bring the matter in black and white, for the record. I
who will judge that the boos is wrong ??? as team member yo should work in the team and your boos is the one who leads the team , many times due to lack in experince we may think that boos is wrong
first of all how was it decided that he was wrong, usually we dissagee with them but that really doesn't make either party wrong.
unless it is confirmed that he did wrong which will be noticed by his superiors, judging he is wrong is wrong.
If you know that, you are well educated and you have a quality skills and experiences then gently try to understand your boss the right thing. If he/she donot support try to convince the upper level. At last they will agree with you for their compnay or institutional interest.
I suggest that you reconsider your assessment. Wrong and right are relative values depending on so many aspects the most imprtant of them is how much you know compared to your boss regarding the subject matter.
That doesn't mean that bosses can never be wrong. If I am not part of the process, I will try to present my point of view. If I am part of the process, I will have to present my point of view but I beleive that it is not my decesion at the end of the day. If I can't influence the situation, I will then have to decide whether to continue or to leave for another job as and when possible.
Review it with the boss and tell him kindly that there is a wrong.
when the Boss is in good mood just be polite and ask if he would have done that thing in a better way so it will force him to think he would be wrong and would have done it better. As everyone is a human and humans make mistakes Bosses can be wrong as well not everytime but sometimes.
