If you are looking good support and varities as per requirement, go ahead with EMC Storage.
conceptually Storage Area Network provide following feaatures:
1. High Availability
2. Scalability
3. Redundancy
4. Dynamic Optimization
5. Performance
Two types of SAN available in the market ISCI and FC. Both have their pros and cons. FC SAN require FC infrastructure: FC HBAs, FC SAN switches, FC Cables, Transcievers etc. ISCSI1G type can be deployed on existing TCP/IP network which require1G network switches, Multifunction Gigabit NICs(ISCSI supported)/ISCSI HBAs and UTP cables. For ISCSI10G modal network infrastructure should be capable of10G traffic like10G HBAs,10G cable network switches cables and trancievers. FC SAN support upto16G and ISCI support upto10G. Now-a-days combination of both ISCI/FC are also available. As per my experience best SAN ever produced is HP3PAR which can provide all the feature sets of SAN without any performance trade off. HP3PAR family has models7200,7400,7450,10400,10800 which are all compliant to each others and can be upgraded from7400 to onward and all the models have same feature sets from small to large scale.
This is the most recommended SAN topology model is Dual Fabric.
