I would use an intelligent email marketing campaign strategy that sends newsletters to subscribers once or twice a month information about their purchased products.
In the same newsletter, you can put information about similar products to increase your cross-sell or up-sell potential.
The campaigns needs to be very intelligent so it can gather information about clicked links, bounce rates, and other information from the emails sent.
