Simple beam means that is a beam has hinged support from one side and roller support from another side
it is implemented at site that beam reinforcement not fully fixed into support
CCORDING TO THEORY SIMPLY SUPPORTED CONSISTS OF A HINGE AND A FIXED SUPPORT ON THE OTHER END----> THIS IS NOT RIGHT SAMIH... Both ends should be hinged or on a roller basis suppot (with lateral movement)
The lintel part you mentioned is completely right but the rest is not.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I want to hear more from you
ACCORDING TO THEORY SIMPLY SUPPORTED CONSISTS OF A HINGE AND A FIXED SUPPORT ON THE OTHER END.BUT IN ACSUAL PRACTICE WE WOULD CONSIDER A BEAM WHICH IS SIMPLY SUPPORTED ON ANY SUPPOTS(WALL,COLUMN ETC)IN A HINGE NO MOMENT WOULD OCCUR BUT REACTIONS WOULD TAKE PLACE JUST AS A LINTEL RESTING OVER A DOOR .IN FIXED SUPPORTS MOMENT WOULD DEVELOP(THAT MEANS IT GIVES RESISTANCE TO OVERTOPPLING).A SIMPLY SUPPORTED BEAM IS A COMBINATION OF BOTH. I HOPE IT IS ANSWER TO THE QUESTION
