As a teacher, how do you prepare a successful lesson teaching plan?

i have to read hte cricculum well  and remember the way my teachers  told me to teach my course  , also  i need to write a plan  which contain vocabulary  , lessons  , homework   ,

with

setting goals

work to achieve these goals by using all the appliances that can help me 

I set goals in light of input elements, suggest procedures, apply, monitor and evaluate.

I usually learn from previous lesson plans outcomes. 

After20 years of teaching I never spend much time making my class plan. I usually write a very laconic plan with their Home Work from previous time, the amount of tasks to be done today, listening links, maybe new words and then new Home Work. This worked well for20 years
