Conceptually, what to do is my boss's decision, how to do it, is mine.

I will discuss the issue with y new boss who also seeks to succeed and elaborate on my approach based on my experience in the company. If I can't convnce him/her, I will proceed as per his/her directives and redicuss the issue basd on accomblishment if they prove my point. Normally, I will gain my new boss's trust after a couple of interactions.

If things are not improving after a couple of attempts, I will start to look for another opportunity.

Honestly speaking I haven't got a bossy boss till now. Usually when a new manager joins, he checks with us about the way we work and sometimes suggests better way of doing it which we oblige and follow.

But if the boss tells me always what to do and not, I think I would do it the way I feel its right after taking his concent.

One of my ex boss used to always tell me that " BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT. Just do as he says"  though he was a very cool boss. One way it is correct. Because you do the work his way and in case anything goes wrong, he would take the responsibility and save us. Thats my experience. : )

Process differs but the end result shuld justify the process. If listern will produce a better result, I will follow his instruction to the end. Any instruction at detriment of greater goal of the company will be scrutinize.

Please listen to your superiors.  Process and situations keep changing . especially in the IT and ITES industry. Need to update with changing times. Remember it is only your immediate boss who can protect you in hard  times. Also when you opt for a new co after15 years it would not be easy. So it is better to adapt. But show case your15 years experience.
