If the customer introduces himself as Dr John Abraham call him by that full name. If the customer says hi I am John then you respond by calling him John. Do you agree?
From my simple point, respect the customers regardless of their scientific qualifications, Age and level of social, at least call him Mr.John .
Customers will always want what you still can't deliver.be carefully customer satisfaction comes at a cost,are you willing to accept the added costs?can you afford it?
Support his/her competitivness.
that he get resprected from others and hope that people respect this kind of job
Customer Shall be given service based upon what he/she likes with in the company system.

regard less what the customer calling himself , you need to show him respect and use formal names , if he stated that " Dr. John " so it’s better to upgrade his name rather than down grade it to Mr. , and if he called himself john , we need to call him Mr. John ..
