What is the chances of career growth of an Employee in a construction company?

As humanbaby grow not only psychologically,physically & socially with the passage of time. Becomes adult and then old age of retirement, similarly an employee ought to grow career-vise, what if somebody choosen to work in the Construction Company. What are the usual negative and positive factors?

For my opinion and my personal +10 years experience on this except from all skills that you must have you should have a lot of pension.In constructions the clients because they are making something permanant they are more pretencious,so you must be patient and give them what they relly want.You must make him believe that you are the one that he could trust.So except from all skills patient and give to them quality.You are doing something permant.

In construction companies career growth depending on company policy in HR dpartment, normally it should be growth like if you are junior engineer after 8 to 10 yeas you will be senior after that you will take a position in managemet level , that is normal in big company but negative factors that incremen in salary will not matching with your experience.

It depends on Company profile. If you Join a Good company your career may be good. indeed in construction sector job satisfaction is very much problem. You will get a very little wages  than your Experience and performance. After a long jurney of your professional life you will not get pension or gratuity. Besids every Problem i think work in Construction sector is more creative and more challenging than other job and now adays Good Construction Companies have batter Salary scale and otherbenefit.

The chance of career growth in ANY company, not only construction, depends a lot on the employee himself. If the employee is not driven by a desire to be the top man in his current position, and do not have the ambition to further himself in his career, there is no possibility of growth.

When an employee sits back and go through his life just carrying out his normal assigned duties, without showing the initiative of asking questions about the requirements that he needs to grow in the company from his immediate superiors, not willing to go out and do independent course work or studies on his own, he will not be noticed by his higher up's as someone that has drive, potential, initiative and a desire to further his career.  

If a person expects to just hang in there and hope that being in the same position for many years will provide him with a good pension at the end of the day, he is sadly mistaken. if you want career growth and promotion, do not ask  what the company can do for you, but rather what you can do for the company, and career growth would automatically follow.

Career growth or even bettering your own life in all aspects, is  "99%  perspiration and  1% inspiration".  Nobody that has become somebody in this world got there by sitting around waiting for good things to come to them. They all got off their backsides and did something to better themselves to be in the position they are. Just look at people like Richard Branson, Bill Gates, Donald Trump and the likes.

Career growth usually defines the development of an employee in an organization. This depends on tevery Human Resources Department of every company described in their yearly HRD development plan, if any. Most often, this is also stated in the HR policy and guidelines which served as the basis of all employees on which growth are they going through after serving so many years in the company. Better for some and for the others if their comapny clearly defined these things for the benefit of every employee. Big organization or companies outh there have an assurance of clear goals and growth of each employees. They ofer a lot of opportunities to each and every employees, and even to their families as well.

Regrettably my question is related to an Employee who is anxious to grow career-vise in the percpective of strict-construction environment, but it isn't related to organizations rather employee only. However it is very rightly pointed out by you that certain companies prefer their employees for certain career growth.

 I have noticed personally that Construction management is very strict on the one and doesn't allow their employee for the career-growth on the other pretext. Supposedly for the sake of growth, if they provide leverage, even then it isn't easy. The Employee's  exceptional trust in his potential besides good faith of ALLAH (SWT) plus his continuous laborious work may take employee to a certain considerable height so far as his career is concerned.
