Is there a grammatical mistake in greeting people by saying very good morning/evening?

In usual present day speech a simple good morning or good evening is sufficient as to emphasise with very in front is extraneous and is only used sometimes if you say ' a very good evening to you' when trying to show extra attention to a person in particular for some reason.
