I think that recuters prioritize experience over a deploma. But I suggest that every one should at least plan to get a deploma. He/she better do their best to achieve that.

I think an experienced person without diploma can't "compete" with a junior or trainee person with a diploma ( a Master's Degree for example) because they will work in different level. For example: a foreman has different  duties than a Civil Engineer. Both work in civil engineering field but the work in different level or status. The inexperienced engineer will work as a trainee engineer and the foreman will work according with his experience.

A competition of having an experience without DIPLOMA to a person without experience but have their DIPLOMAS is mostly a common problem of some like me,,but i think it can be handled it depends on the company who hired or who seeks persons who are willing to work with them.the only thing to prove even without a diplomas is to WORK HARDER and try to prove that as what people who had diplomas can do WE MAKE IT MORE TOO..it depends also in a person who knows how to handle WORK habits as TIME IS GOLD,,,,but it is so sad to know mostly of our new generation now they prefer to choose the one who had bringging their achievements which we call diplomas,,,at the time they read our CV"s without finishing any course they put it on TRUSH and not giving a chance to show how much we are willing to work with them.

A person with no diploma / degree doesn’t necessarily mean “uneducated" thus will be looked behind and will not be given a chance to work with big companies. For me, diploma is just a decoration and, of course, plus point to a person's educational qualification but still “what can one person do to help for the growth of the company" that matters. Experienced person WITHOUT a diploma can actually compete in terms of their "experience" itself. and most people like this that I have known are more dedicated, disciplined and hardworking ones (which is one of the good investments a company could have). But still, everyone, either with diploma or no diploma must be treated or assessed equally based on their abilities and what they can actually contribute to the company. It’s also the same with a person who is applying for a certain position but is a graduate of a different discipline, but is well experienced on that post that he is applying for, should also be given a chance to prove himself that he has the ability to do the job well. Equal opportunity employment should be practiced by all companies all the time. – Just my opinion.

Having a kind of degree is somehow good since you get trained academically which is always better than having no certification. Experience is always regarded as a second advantage thats how emloyers always think since thats the case you better get yourself a degree it will be handy. Its like when you go and buy a product you always look for a product certificate indicating that this product will preform well, you get my point?

If a person have diploma and have no experience, it means he has mostly a theoritical knowledge and very less of practical knowledge.

And person with experience without diploma has good practical knowledge. He may be considered at the position where the company is in real need of good hard worker as the Diploma holder will have to gain experience.

In my views dgree or diploma is more important but experience is countable for any person in any field! dgree or diploma gives you a cocept but experience gives you worth and practically knoledge to acheive your goal and targets. An eployer should have a look at experience and will of person who want to be part of his/her organization and should be given a chance to serve with his/her unique eperience and skills.

it is already mentioned, only through his experience he can compete no more no less...neither so, once a diploma holder began to absorb experience the other wil be left far behind... most company always look for educated diploma holder personnel basically knowhow for codes and standards.

In today's competitive market, practical experience seems to take a priority over the academic aspect, however a person with both experienece as well as a diploma does enjoy a better advantage in the business world
