In personal life, you can define what is important for you and decide which is waste of time.
Economic and material :

I think only one factor is , not doing a to do list , meaning that any one MUST have the feeling and the sense and understand well every second pass can't return back , by sequence he / she will know well how to not waste any time either in work or soical life as well.
