SMART (Specific, Measurable, Adaptable, Reliable, Time bound) divide work in chunks.
make preferences.
handle the pressure doing it in planned time.
alternatives must be there to if preferred work time elapsed.
make checklists.
Try to be efficient and effective.

To avoid mistakes regarding time management, first, jotted down the most need prioritzation, first or two weeks before, manage your time by being prepared and organized so if there is an upcoming deadline or target date, you are ready and 2nd is to avoid panicking and mistakes.
But everybody makes mistakes, nobody is perfect but by proper handling of time, you can manage and organize task or work.
