i think a wonderfull questions...i dont know why telemarketing is now turning into busines development in my view they are different....i have seen people saying do sales and then you will be promoted to do a marketing job..
Dear Rana Fatatyar,Actually ,we can not raise the this type of question ,because of ,mostly the owner of company already know about the meaning of real job marketing,it is therefore ,at the first stage, the ingnorance of real job Marketing aspects is being ignored in syllabus of the Business School, because of ,they are treating as One Subject insteading of two subjects like One is Sales and Second is Marketing as yet. This practice was correct up to the age of.but more then one decade, the concerned professionals of Sales and Marketing are facing burden in this context.
Secondly, unforetunatly,One of wrong thinking have been developed in the mind of Small and Medium Sizes Companies Owners that The real Marketing aspect and its practice is totally concerned to the Multinational and Multi-dimentional Companies, and in other hand, the Multinational Companies so conscious to establishe the Marketing Team as a future investment for their products and customer's satisfaction as well as for the improvement of the company's reputation in the market.because of ,the job of Marketing professionals always create a marketing plan for their products from manufacturers to consumers.in this regard, hereby,we can say that there no need to educate to the company's owners about the definition of real job marketing and its advantages and disadvantages.
The real job behind Marketing specifically is if course to create the brand awareness needed to Create sales. In smaller companies i have found that the marketing and sales designations are often one in the same. this puts even more pressure on the marketing dept as it is also responsible for sales. Marketing should really only give the tools required (lead generation etc) to the sales team so that may "Close the Deal" The education of even the Smartest executives will always find marketing to be costly and not required. but what they sometimes fail to understand is this is the frst impression anyone will get regarding your company / product. Proper marketing requires proper branding and without this the company will fail in time.
