u can't erase or delete any of ur original data by deleting or editing something in the graph but u can delete series inside ur graph without any change occurs outside to ur data
You may use the option by Right click in the graph and then edit or delete the series. There are other various options too avaliable through right click.
Yes it is possible to remove the series of data by selecting it from the graph.
