Yes, is another option and quick...but I do prefer to use the ordinary post with a proper stamp, with a proper envelope...writing a letter with a nice calligraphy and going to the post office...imagining the way untill it reachs to the destiny...specially if I send a letter far away...for example to my friends in India, America or Bahrein...

of course using recycled paper :))

If you have access to a postal system then a card by post would be the better option, nothing beats a personal touch!!.

Dear Mr.Abhay

Means of Communication have changed People prefer and feel comfortable to be contacted electronically  Since people are on the move their addresses keep on changing and per chance if they get to their homes on week ends they don't find time to open up letters sent through post and at work place they are more busy with their official communication hence it is effective way of sending greetings.

Very much. And ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY as well.  However, if it is a close relationship, a phone call (which is more personal) would definitely be the right choice !

And while we talk about being ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY, let me take this opportunity of wishing each of you for Christmas as well as greetings in advance for a HAPPY NEW YEAR2014.

I don't see anything wrong with sending greetings through emails. The sender's intention, the message itself is a lot more important.

A lot of modern people like that whole idea of starting out fresh and approaching the new year with a email of season greeting, so it is kind of fun to wish their friends a new year, to really emphasize that - but they just don't feel like they have the time to do it justice. So they skip greeting card and send season's greeting.
