Yes, Impressions are important because it defines the number of times your ad has been viewed. If we set frequency capping, we get a better result of the impressions. But I feel impressions with good conversion rate adds more value to a campaign.

Impressions are imortant but it is not the most important part of a PPC campaign. I would say the most important part of any PPC campaign is the offer. Where is that traffic going? What are they going to get at their destination? There is no point having a high impression and then poor conversion. You want to make sure your traffic converts.

Imagine a your Ad gets60,000 impressions and you have a click through rate of2% that would be1,200 clicks. Now imagine those1,200 clicks going to a very poor offer, that2% click through rate idieally should have a20% opt-in at the very least so you want at least240 opt-ins from the1,200 clicks otherwise is something is terrible wrong with your marketing.

I have run PPC campaigns in the past with a42% opt-in rate and60% of that being buyers!
