Some employers reject CV once they look at the date of birth, ignoring years of high efficiency and long experience, even though the applicant is in the middle of age, with no health problems at all, hard worker.. etc.. but all his applications refused because of his age over40 years.
yes it is true but it totally depend upon the nature of the job for some jobs the more the age the mmore chances to get it. like professors, scientist, sergons,
Employers doing so are commiting a big mistake. Experience for highly ranked jobs almot always comes with gray hair.
i believe that a professional recruiter won't look at the age first,qualities and competancies are the most important.so have faith,and never give up.if you are the one they are looking for they won't care about the age.
Yes age factor also counts.
YES, I HAVE PERSONAL EXPERINCE ON THAT MATTER PEOPLE WILL LOOK FOR YOUR AGE BEFORE THEY LOOK FOR YOUR EXPERINCE HOWEVER THIS YEARS OF AGE SHOULD BE GOOD POINT NOT BAD ONE.
REGARDS
Age problem only occurrs with small companies. Large companies respect older staff who have enough experience and can start working without traininig as well as giving them benifit in giving good results.
Young or newly graduated staff is also acceptable for lower grades as they will never have enough experience to benefit the business but if they were clever then they will gain experince so quickly.
Yes, mostly the recruiter call the candidates who are less than30 years of the age, and sometime35 and40. and after selection age group they finalize as per their Experiance and referances.
Have you heard this saying.(or slang).....You act ..how old that you feel... (on the age). There about10 jobs at least one of them i want. BUT I know they going look at age,nationality,and were i am at in location.. I am interested to work in UAE I got the experience and the skills. i even ones of those person that can watch and catch on very quickly. I need to get lucky one more time (to get a job)....Oh well, that life Have a Nice Day
It is sad to see that age is considered as one of the criteria while employing resources, my personal view is that if a person is competent, matured, fits the job and his expectations in terms of role and perks is within the organizational limits, he should be getting the job even if he is agewise senior for the role.
There are two different point of views;
1) Management think that recruit young tallent, to get tasks done on time with more accuracy and efficiently with upto date knowledge.
2) Managment prefere experienced staff to get accurate information and get their young staff be trained from experienced staff, experience count as education with practice.
I would prefer experience/aged staff having good experience because of;
Accurate information.
Tackle problems efficiently.
Learning for subordinates.
Experties minimise cost
There is another point also be considered as a reason for rejection. If one could not have a consistant position or profession in any company by the age of40 or45 that mentions that the applicant does not have consistancy with his previous employers which will prompt employer to reject the application.
