How to represent the "mile stone"?

As the name indicates, milestones indicate important stages in the project management. Reaching each of these stages is comparable to commuting additional miles.

Keeping end in the mind, decide the key stages in the project management - For ex:

1. Obtaining legal permissions

2. Developing project planner

3. Completion of civil work

4. Installation and commissioning of key equipments

5. Obtaining legal consent to operate a plant

6. Commissioning of the plant

These all represent key milestones in a project to establish new plant.

Milestones are duration less activities in a Project or in a group of related activities,

i.e. Start Milestone start of projrct, Finish Milestone end of project,

from Start Milestone your project duration will be starts and ends at Finish Milestone.
