I think they were late to offer standard feature like camera with a high megapixel they didn't offer attractive touch screen or games and apps were less than iOS and android
they focused on two things push email and bbm
the first was offreed by Nokia Apple and android 5 years ago
so there only advantage was bbm then other free apps appeared for iOS and. Android. negating the cost and competing head to head
they focused on a niche market they didn't adapt or offer anything new early enough to increase their share While others pulled the rug from under RIM
