you have to connect the transmitter probes or tubes, one above the max.
level inside the tank and the other below the min.
level of the close tank.

you can install it as wet leg method.

you can connect the low side of the transmitter at the top of the tank and high side of the tx will be connect at the bottom side. Then you can calculate the range of the transmitter by means of the specific gravity and height of liquid level according to the perticular formula. then configure the values of LRV and URV (with perticular unit) of transmitter through its calibrator. and filled the low leg with water.and putt in service.

You need to connect the High side to the bottom of the Tank and the low side to the top of the Tank (Not open to the atmosphere).
