I agree to the fact that the objective of management is to maximize profit but it must be done by respecting moral and ethical values as well.

We cannot just think of maximizing profits and disregard important factors as human issues, environmental issues and social impacts.

The main objective of management is to secure maximum outputs with minimum efforts & resources. Management is basically concerned with thinking & utilizing human, material & financial resources in such a manner that would result in best combination. Management ensures smooth and coordinated functioning of the enterprise.

Every business or management has its own objective, the first and foremost one is to maximize profit. The entire business runs on nothing but its profit there is no different opinion rather than to maximize profit.

Profit maximization is not an easy task, the objective of each and every staff related to business should have same objective and that is to maximize profit .The main objectives of management in a business firm are customer satisfaction, employee welfare, social responsibilities and to maximize profits.

The management must ensure the employees are satisfied. No company can run its business successfully with its unhappy employee. Employees plays a major role in any business firm growing the business and increasing firms profits.

The Objective of management is "Effective utilisation of resources to achieve the organisational objectives".

The organisational objectives may not necessarily be maximisation of profits.

Other organisation objectives may be :

 - Charity  & Humantarian Services.

 -  R&D.

 - Growth in terms of Market Dominance.

 - Growth in terms of Production & Revenue.

Every professional entrepreneurs have an individual or collective management objective to maximise profits.
