Thanks all for your reply. One of the most important aspect in treating a child with dental problems is Behaviour Management as I feel half of your treatment gets over if this aspect is being managed well.

When adults come to the dental examination should bring their own child. Parents need to call the child view and OMIT the instructions that they should not be afraid, to be good , it will not hurt anything , but to be a relaxed introduction to the dentist through play and fun . Young children first few visits to get acquainted with the instrument, apparatus , and only when the dentist feels that he gained the trust of a child, ranges from small interventions such as polishing and cleaning teeth .

Teach your child from an early age that visiting the dentist every six months is completely natural. Do not talk to your child about pain and unpleasant things or your unpleasant experiences with dental treatment . The dentist should child become friend and child should have confidence in dentist .

Big problems can occur if a child has never been to the dentist and comes with a tooth pain. From the first intervention of the child, depends on how much will his relationship with the dentist to be for his whole future life . Therefore, it is important to bring the child to the dentist when he has all teeth healthy !

The treatments in children should be explained as if it were a game, for example, the mask for the sedation analgesia can be likened to a spatial mask of astronauts, for example, you can slowly to turn the turbine on the nail to make it clear to the child that does not evil, the extraction of a primary tooth, if possible, you run with cryotherapy, showing the child that you spray the ice ... in the most difficult cases you may even resort to sedative analgesia. But again, it is very important the initial approach with the child !!
