One of the most common ones that we see in our clinic is that of Metarsus Adductus or Metatarsus Primus Adductus. The former being adduction of the entire forefoot in relation to the rearfoot due to either delayed hip/femoral unwinding or internal tibial torsion or soft tissue problem of the knees causing this deformity. Usually prevelant in children of petite mothers (smaller wombs; pressure placed on the child's feet) and happens quite often in first born child.

This is treated if caught early with the use of bracing or orthotics, manual manipulation during infancy,  special footwears, serial casting. If severe surgical intervention. The former MTPA is alot less severe and can be reducible. The mentioned congential deformity is only one of many out there. Just mentioned the most common one we see.
