How do you prepare MIS reports?

MIS or Management Information System is a computer based system used by most organizations worldwide for transforming data into useful information for better decision making.Its report system  depends upon the nature of working of company. Mainly processing information received from financial sections, Balance sheets,  inventory status etc. If MIS is used in Education Department then reports generation would be foucsing on attendance of staff and students, grades obtained by students, planning infastructure and lacking facitlites. 

COMPARISON OF LAST DAY ACTIVITY AND CURRENT DAY ACTIVITY

To introduce your MIS System through the information obtained from the Monthly Financial Statements (P&L Statement, Balance sheet Statement,Cash Flow Statement and Equity Statement).

Normally we use to get it from different source like Operations, HR & different varieties of tools like Avaya CMS.... to get the proper output for the preparations of the dashboards from different types like Pivot Table, Charts, PPT's etc

Report which gives the clear picture of input and output also helps us to improvise the business. The data for this report may vary business to business.

Raw data is downloaded from application and then i prepare mis report with these data and make new changes as per requirement of management team.

Preparing MIS reports , taken data from SAP/BIW software and analysing on sales on product lavel and sales officer amnd area wise. Preparing also as per requirement of managment.

Using Vendor Specific tools. In my case, I used Oracle Platform and its associated tools such as Oracle forms and reports for development of MIS Reports. Furthermore, used Excel Pivot Tables in designing detail analysis and dashboards using ODBC connectivity protocols to connect to Oracle Database and retrieve required data for publishing of desired reports and analysis through Excel Report Services.
