I have so many authors who thrill me,Danielle Steele is into romance,Wilbur Smith concentrates on Africa and moreso my home country,Zimbabwe and for real he makes me feel honored and so much home,K Husseini who dwells on touchy issues about Afghanistan,he is a gem of a writer. They are too numerous to mention.

Arthur Conan Doyle for his Sherlock Holmes books,  old fashioned drama/adventure. Bill Bryson for his humourous "take" on the British and Australian ways of life, he is an American journalist who visited UK as a student and stayed for a long time, eventually working on a national newspaper. As a youngster I was enthralled by Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island", a young boy's delight to read, pirates, hidden treasure, sailing ships, castaways etc etc. For the classics I go along with Ahmed, Dickens, Alexander Dumas and add Sir Walter Scott to the list for "Ivanhoe". I always found it difficult to get my "head round" Shakespeare a little too Old Worlde for my particular taste!
